Tablet Sencha Touch GUI PSD
Over this past year, we’ve devoted a significant amount of our attention to tablet interface development. In particular, we’ve been working with the ultra-flexible Sencha Touch web framework to allow our clients to conveniently bundle their pre-existing data for repackaged web delivery into today’s new sleek phone and tablet devices that support WebKit browser standards, which is approximately 95% of current market (Gartner 2011 Q3). Sencha Touch is disrupting the mobile development space by allowing a degree of cross-platform cohesion that has been unheard of until now. We’re excited by the possibilities of this new toolset at our disposal and have created a resource that we’d like to present as a gift back to our community.

We’ve created a layered photoshop PSD file based off of the Sencha Touch Kitchen Sink demo app (view in Chrome or Safari), as well as their new chart interface features. This file is intended to serve as a reference for designers working on Sencha Touch projects, by providing the basic building blocks for all the new interface options available.

There are many possibilities for new and rich ways to interact with application data, and it should be quickly noted that these possibilities far exceed what is seen in our file. Any interface can be customized significantly further by utilizing Sencha Touch’s included theming system which leverages SCSS technology to deliver today’s latest CSS3 features.
We’re excited to be working in this fast moving space and are happy to be able to contribute to the resource base that is going to help push our community forward. We journey forward with our exploration of new interaction mediums and will continue to share our observations from the road. Salud!
